She lived her entire life beside the one who loved her most, sharing every quiet morning and every late-night cuddle. Her golden birthday — turning sixteen on the sixteenth — was her last, a "once in a lifetime" gift that fits her perfectly. Once in a lifetime is exactly what she was.
